The group itself has been in existence for over 60 years, but Unichem Ghana was established in 1992, and today has become one of the leading pharmaceutical companies in Africa.
Unichem’s corporate headquarters is located in the Capital city of Accra, with scientific offices & distribution depots strategically located across the nation. With a strong team of Marketing and Medical personnel conducting daily awareness raising programs and engaging with those in the medical fraternity , Unichem ensures that patients have the therapies they need, when they need.
The company specializes in range of products, covering multiple dosage forms, including tablets, capsules, injectables, inhalers, ointments, creams, and liquids. The categories include prescription medications / ethicals, over-the-counter medications, nutraceuticals & super speciality products.
The Group branched into manufacturing in 2008 under license of LUEX U.K. With the vision to promote local drug manufacturing whilst empowering Ghanaians and helping to impact local communities. In 2021, Unichem commissioned their second facility, a State of the Art manufacturing facility specialising in the production of ointments, liquids & tablets to help service other African nations where LUEX is present with proudly Made in Ghana Quality Pharmaceuticals.
